The ReGeneration network was created to support young environmental and social changemakers and enable them to move powerfully from secondary schooling, through further education and work experience, and into purpose related employment that is an expression of their highest values and aspirations.

Thanks to start-up funding from The Tindall Foundation, The Enviroschools Foundation, and the New Zealand Council for Educational Research we were able to take the first steps toward making this new support network a reality.

In February 2009 we organised “ReGeneration 09” a youth teaching youth design event and launched the “ReGeneration” online social network. Since then we have been on visiting regions, running jams and workshops and developing our ideas for the Action Festival next year.

Last January we ran the first annual "Summer Jam" at the Living Springs centre on Banks Peninsula. The event involved 95 youth leaders from around New Zealand. The group spent the week planning future actions, sharing ideas and stories and running workshops on a wide range of topics.

The dates for the next Summer Jam are 10th-14th January. Please contact Billy Matheson for details.
