Enviroschools Facilitator (Environmental Education) Taupo/ Rotorua

Waikato Regional Council is currently looking for a Taupo/ Rotorua based Enviroschools Facilitator to join the Waikato team.

This role is:

  • An opportunity to make a difference with a positive and proven kaupapa
  • Varied, interesting and diverse role in a supportive working environment
  • Part-time (16 hours p/w) fixed-term role based in Taupo/Rotorua on a 12-month contract.

The role involves guiding schools on their journey towards creating a sustainable school community, building relationships with community experts, and working collaboratively with a range of educators.

It involves working with Enviroschools lead teachers, student enviro-groups and other members of school communities to assist each school to engage in a process of change towards more sustainable communities.

The role has flexible hours. There will be opportunities for professional development and support to enable delivery of the programme. The contract will be for 12 months with an average of 16 hours per week.
