Permanent part time position with work undertaken mainly during school terms.

Enviroschools is an innovative, sustainable school programme well-established in more than 30 Dunedin schools.

Due to an internal staff move, Dunedin City Council has a vacancy for one of its Enviroschools Facilitators. This role involves supporting teachers and students with environmental learning and action, building relationships with community experts, and working collaboratively with a range of educators.

You will have initiative, be self-motivated, enthusiastic and highly organised. A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential. What you will need is a good working knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum as well as experience working in New Zealand schools. Knowledge of Education for Sustainability, sustainable practices, and Māori perspectives of the environment, would be beneficial.

This position is part time, working mainly during the school terms.
