Enviroschools Marlborough and Marlborough District Council are excited to be starting 2020 with two workshops for Marlborough schools: the first for teachers (Tuesday 3 March), and the second for student enviro-leaders (Years 5 to 8) and their teachers (Wednesday 4 March).
Details for both can be found on the Marlborough Enviroschools website: https://www.enviroschoolsmarlborough.co.nz/news-funding/
Both will utilise the knowledge and skills of expert Bek Galloway, who will work with teachers to explore student agency and how it can build empowered students, and with students on how to plan and take action in 2020. Our MDC Education Team will lead you through some activities from the new Enviroschools ‘Energy’ resource and beyond, and you will network with and be inspired by teachers and students from other Marlborough Enviroschools.
Please register your school’s interest with Annie McDonald (email@example.com). We can provide teacher release for teachers attending either (or both) workshops. In order to keep numbers manageable for the student workshop, please select up to four students to attend on behalf of your school’s enviro-group. Depending on the number of registrations, we may increase the numbers allowed from each school – we will let you know. The students are to be accompanied by the teacher that supports their school’s enviro-efforts.
Please contact us with any queries, and we hope to see lots of you there!
