Students en-route to clean up Panmure Basin
Last August, the class caught the bus to the Panmure Basin to observe wildlife and get their hands dirty by cleaning up the area. Auckland Transport helped plan the route and timing of the best public bus services to use for the outgoing and return trips.
Students at Stanhope Road school have also inspired their community with the Wednesday Challenge. Teachers across the school consistently logged how their students got to school. Points were earned for walking, scooting, biking, catching the bus or train, or even getting dropped off by car some distance away from the school gate.
