Kidsfirst Karoro Kick the Plastic Habit

“Karoro tamariki making their submissions”

Kidsfirst Karoro tamariki took crayon to paper to show how much they care about refusing single-use plastics. Enviroschools ambassadors Sienna, Willa, Carson and Brooke were supporting Carisbrook School’s request to tautoko the ‘Ban the Bag’ petition that Carisbrook presented to Parliament’s Environment Select Committee.

Teacher Nina Reesen-Fischer commented, “Part of our Enviroschools kaupapa is learning to take care of ourselves, others and our treasured natural world. So saying no to single use plastic is always at the forefront of our thinking at Karoro”.

He whiringa ngātahi, ka raranga, ka mau.
If you plait one at a time, the ends will fragment
If you weave together, it will hold.
