December 10, 2021

Examples of project planning.

Linkwater School is a small rural Green Gold Enviroschool in the Marlborough region so named because it sits between the Totaranui – Queen Charlotte Sound and the Keneperu Sound. Linkwater students and teachers are passionate about their environment and much of their curriculum is based on students learning about and taking action for sustainability, supported by their wider community. Linkwater School are also part of the Marlborough District Council Kids Edible Garden programme.

Earlier this term Linkwater submitted their Sustainable Outdoor Classroom development to the Lions Youth Award for district 202E supported by the Havelock Lions and they won! Congratulations Linkwater School.

The Lions Youth Chair noted in her letter to the school how high the level of input from the students was in the design /inquiry process and how the gardens were developed with the children and community in mind.
